Appendix-A
Place of Performance for USCG District-17 Helicopter Transportation Services
Place Of Performance for KODIAK (ADQ) area This document supports the USCG District-17 Helicopter Transportation Services PWS for the Kodiak area. Contractor must pay particular attention to the geographic area limits and never provide services beyond those limits as they are covered under a separate Task Order.
Departure Points The intent of this contract is to provide helicopter services to Government personnel from locations that can be easily reached using standard commercial transportation (e.g. larger airports). Additional flight origination points will be discussed, on a case-by-case basis, between the Contractor and the COR, but shall always be available from:
• Kodiak Airport (ADQ) o Kodiak airport will be the default departure point for all Kodiak Island sites, Sitkinak
Island, and Cape Gull remote site.
• King Salmon (AKN) o King Salmon will only be utilized for transit to the area surrounding Tuklung and Dillingham sites.
Geographic Boundaries The graphic below is strictly for reference. The sites listed in the graphic are representative of the sites typically visited but it is the responsibility of the contractor to confirm locations utilizing FAA approved methods prior to departure. The geographic region is also strictly for reference. The area of particular concern is the 59⁰ parallel between 153⁰15’ and 148⁰30’ meridian as the geographic area north of that parallel is covered under a separate task order. Providing service beyond that parallel will be considered out of scope for this TO.
Graphic As stated above, the graphic is for reference only. However, awardee can expect all flight requests to remain well within the boundaries shown on the graphic; coordinates are listed below. Departure points are shown with oversized red lettering.
