About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of the Air Force's Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) for the Advanced Propulsion Acquisition Contract (APAC), a Multiple Award Contract (MAC) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The RFI aims to gather industry feedback to support the development of the upcoming Request for Proposal (RFP) for a contract designed to rapidly develop advanced propulsion technologies and capabilities for the United States Air Force and strategic partners, covering technology maturation, concept development, demonstrations, integration, procurement, production, fielding, operations, and sustainment.

The RFI requests industry feedback on two key items: 1) potential challenges with a 30-business day proposal response timeframe, and 2) comments and concerns regarding the attached Draft RFP. Responses must be electronically submitted through DoD SAFE to specific procurement contracting officers by 1600 EST on 15 Oct 2025, limited to ten 8.5x11-inch pages with specific formatting requirements. The document emphasizes that this is an information-gathering exercise only, does not constitute a commitment to contract, and will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with preparing their responses.
