The virtual pre-bid meeting was held on January 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with attendees from FoodPro Corporation and FoodService Contracting, LLC, along with Maryland Department of General Services procurement staff. The solicitation seeks multiple vendors to supply frozen breakfast and vegetable items, with bids due on January 31, 2025, at 3:00 PM. The contract will be awarded by line item to multiple vendors submitting the lowest and most favorable prices, with a minimum purchase amount of $300.00 per order and a five-day standard delivery requirement that can be negotiated between the contract and using agencies.

The procurement is initially designated as a Small Business Reserve (SBR) solicitation, with an update on the SBR status to be posted no later than the bid due date. Bidders are required to submit professional references from services provided within the last 3-5 years and must ensure they are not in arrears with any state taxes or obligations. The contract allows for emergency order responses for unforeseen circumstances, natural disasters, or mass food spoilage. Vendors must be registered on the eMaryland Marketplace Advantage (eMMA) platform and, if out-of-state, must have a Maryland business license and resident business office. The procurement allows for electronic funds transfer for contracts over $200,000 and will provide a Register of Bids after the closing date.
