Farmstead Energy Improvement (code 374):

1. Radiant tube heaters.

a. Replace existing pancake heaters (non-radiant) with radiant tube heaters complete with mounting hardware, control system, and utility connections.

i. House 1 provide equivalent 920,000 BTU/hour capacity

ii. House 2 provide equivalent 920,000 BTU/hour capacity

iii. House 3 provide equivalent 920,000 BTU/hour capacity

iv. House 4 provide equivalent 1,140,000 BTU/hour capacity.

Lighting System Improvement (code 670)

1. LED light upgrade.

a. Replace 60w standard incandescent with 10w LED designed for poultry house installation, dust resistant, color temperature range 3,500-6,400 Kelvin, utilizing standard lamp base (E26 base).

i. House 1 install 40 10w LED

ii. House 2 install 40 10w LED

iii. House 3 install 40 10w LED

iv. House 4 install 13 10w LED

2. LED, Dimmable, light upgrade

a. Replace 60w dimmable incandescent with 10w dimmable LED designed for poultry house installation, dust resistant, color temperature range 3,500-6,400 Kelvin, utilizing standard lamp base (E26 base).

i. House 2 install 50 10w dimmable LED and 1 LED compatible dimmer control.

ii. House 3 install 50 10w dimmable LED and 1 LED compatible dimmer control.

iii. House 4 install 50 10w dimmable LED and 1 LED compatible dimmer control.

Building Envelope Improvement (code 672)

1. Crack Sealant

a. Sealing air leaks and cracks between the building and foundation and frames for doors with an expanding, insulating sealant.

i. House 1 seal approximately 2,680 linear feet.

ii. House 2 seal approximately 2,680 linear feet.

iii. House 3 seal approximately 2,680 linear feet.

2. Insulated Curtain

a. Install an insulated brood curtain complete with hangers in place of an uninsulated brood curtain. The insulated brood curtain will have a minimum insulating value of R-2.5.

i. House 1 install 1 insulated brood curtain approximately 440 sq. ft.

ii. House 2 install 1 insulated brood curtain approximately 440 sq. ft.

iii. House 3 install 1 insulated brood curtain approximately 440 sq. ft.

iv. House 4 install 1 insulated brood curtain approximately 460 sq. ft.

3. Insulation

a. Solid wall insulation addition to obtain minimum R-7. Add additional insulation or remove and replace insulation in order to obtain insulating value R-7 in the side walls and end walls.

i. House 1 approximately 1,520 sq. ft. below curtain section; 1,140 sq. ft.

above curtain section; 760 sq. ft. end walls. Total of 3,420 sq. ft.

insulation addition.

ii. House 2 approximately 1,520 sq. ft. below curtain section; 1,140 sq. ft.

above curtain section; 760 sq. ft. end walls. Total of 3,420 sq. ft.

insulation addition.

iii. House 3 approximately 1,520 sq. ft. below curtain section; 1,140 sq. ft.
