About this file

This is Addendum No. Five to Request for Bid (RFB) No. 22-0042 issued by the Columbus Consolidated Government's Finance Department Purchasing Division in Columbus, Georgia. The City is procuring a minimum of thirty (30) to a maximum of forty (40) side loader 31-yard refuse truck bodies manufactured to fit Peterbilt 520 Dual Steer cab and chassis. The addendum, dated July 12, 2022, clarifies specifications and modifies the original RFB requirements regarding truck configuration preferences and evaluation criteria.

The addendum clarifies that the Public Works Department's original requirement for chain lift trucks was based on their experience with American Side Loader (ASL) trucks currently in operation. While non-body-mounted trucks remain the department's preference, body-mounted trucks will be seriously considered if they demonstrate superior operating systems and performance during equipment demonstrations. The award will be made to the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder achieving the highest demonstration score. All vendors must acknowledge receipt of this addendum with their sealed bid submission; failure to do so may result in the proposal being deemed incomplete.

Addendum No. Five Side Loader 31-Yard Refuse Truck Bodies

RFB No. 22-0042

Acknowledgment of receipt of Addenda must be included with sealed Bid.

Initials: Company:

Vendors are informed that the above subject Request for Bid (RFB) is hereby modified, corrected, or supplemented as specified, described and set forth in this Addendum:

A. Clarification to the Specifications

The Public Works Department requirement for a chain lift was derived from the department’s experience with ASL trucks currently owned and operated by the City. Non-body mounted trucks are the preference of the department; however, if body-mounted trucks show a better operating system/truck during the equipment demonstration they will be seriously considered.

The lowest, responsible, responsive bidder with the highest demonstration score will be recommended for award.

B. Addendum Acknowledgement

Indicate that your company has received this Addendum in the appropriate areas and include with sealed Bid. Failure to acknowledge receipt of this addendum may render your Proposal

“Incomplete”.
