About this file

This document is Solicitation Addendum No. 2 from the Minnesota Department of Administration's Office of State Procurement, relating to a food service contract for Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) Programs. The addendum extends the proposal due date from March 31, 2025, to April 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM Central Time, and introduces updates to the Sample Contract and Exhibits, specifically focusing on detailed nutritional requirements for a Double Portion Diet menu. The updated exhibit provides comprehensive specifications for meal compositions, including precise guidelines for protein, milk, vegetable, fruit, and cereal/bread servings, along with a sample menu demonstrating these requirements.

The addendum includes specific nutritional parameters for the Double Portion Diet, mandating a minimum of 3000 to 3200 calories per day, with fat content limited to 40% or below and saturated fat restricted to 10-12% of total calories. The diet must provide 20-25 grams of fiber daily and 3000-4500 mg of sodium. The price schedule instructions and exhibit have been correspondingly updated to reflect these dietary specifications. These detailed requirements suggest a highly specialized food service contract targeting healthcare facilities with specific nutritional needs, indicating a thorough approach to dietary management across Minnesota's Direct Care and Treatment Programs.
