About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation for a Data Network Structured Cabling System serving FDOT District 4 and District 6 Materials & Research Office. The addendum revises the Scope of Services in Exhibit A, specifying that all work must be performed during business hours Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST, with cable pulling and cutover activities to occur during business hours where possible. The project involves installation of approximately 160 network drops with Category 6 Plenum Cabling and related components across two buildings. The mandatory pre-bid site visit was scheduled for February 11, 2026, with the bid opening date of February 25, 2026. The addendum confirms that revised floor plans will be distributed to all site visit attendees through the Department's Contractual Services Department, and bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum with their bid submission to D4.Purch@dot.state.fl.us by the proposal opening deadline.
The addendum addresses key questions regarding project budget and scope, confirming that the Department has established a total maximum budgetary amount of $65,000.00 for the resulting contract. It clarifies that the scope includes cleanup and removal of old wiring, and that temporary outages may occur in affected areas during cable replacement; however, Wi-Fi connectivity will be available to support users during any downtime. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum and return the completed acknowledgment form with their bid submission or face potential disqualification. All bidders are required to register in MyFloridaMarketplace prior to submission and comply with Florida's statutory requirements regarding business authorization, licensing, drug-free workplace certification, and various attestations regarding labor practices and foreign country of concern restrictions.
