About this file

This addendum modifies the competitive sealed bid solicitation issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for a data network structured cabling system installation project serving FDOT District 4 and District 6 Materials & Research Office. The addendum revises Exhibit A - Scope of Services to specify that all work must be performed during business hours Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST, with cable pulling and cutover activities to occur during business hours where possible. The mandatory pre-bid site visit remains scheduled for February 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with a technical question submission deadline of February 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. and electronic bid submission due February 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. The project involves installation of a Category 6 Plenum Cabling system with approximately 160 total network drops across two buildings, and work must be completed within 60 business days in one continuous operation. Award is scheduled for March 2, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., with an initial contract term of three months or upon completion of services, whichever occurs first, and potential renewal for up to three years upon mutual agreement.

The addendum confirms the Department's maximum budgetary allocation of $65,000.00 for the complete contract deliverable, provided as a single lump sum payment. The addendum clarifies that during cable cutover activities, site personnel will support user connectivity through available Wi-Fi to mitigate temporary outages caused by removal of existing infrastructure. Revised floor plans related to the project will be distributed to all site visit attendees by FDOT's Contractual Services Department. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum by completing and returning it with their bid via email to D4.Purch@dot.state.fl.us by the proposal opening time and date; failure to do so may result in bidder disqualification.
