The bid will be submitted electronically via BidNet Direct, with a mandatory pre-bid meeting held on February 27, 2025, at the AVCF Visitor Center. Bidders must provide a bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid value, and preference will be given to Colorado resident bidders and Colorado labor. End of Addendum No. 1

Attachment No. 2 – Answers to Questions

1. Bidder Question: Is there enough room at the penetration to install a bypass to keep the line in service?

Response: As noted on the drawings, the gas service shall maintain operational 24/7. At the NW corner of the Support Building, the existing 2” gas piping is routed up side of building to roof, and may have available space for a hot tap to install a bypass for switchover after new gas service testing and air purging. Contractor is responsible for presenting means and methods for review and approval by AVCF Facilities Management, the CDOC Project Manager and EOR.

2. Bidder Question: usually when a new line is connected, the interior existing service line is air tested to ensure integrity. That would have to scheduled and would entail a shutdown for the test.

Response: Since the existing interior gas piping systems remains unmodified, the EOR is unaware of any specific IFGC or NFPA 54 requirement to interrupt/shutdown a current functional interior system for testing. Therefore, the bidder shall assume the interior gas piping system does not require testing.

3. Bidder Question: May excavated spoils may be spread onsite directly?

Response: Spoils can be spread within the fenced area (no man’s land) as directed by Facilities Maintenance.
