About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Sealed Proposal issued by the City of College Park, Georgia for Inspections & Material Testing services related to the Rhodes Street infrastructure project from Camp Creek Parkway (SR 6) to Redwine Avenue. The addendum clarifies bid requirements and provides a comprehensive final bid quantities list for the project. Sealed proposals were due by Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 10:30 am EST at the City of College Park Purchasing Department, located at 3667 Main Street, College Park, Georgia 30337. The project encompasses extensive roadway, drainage, utilities, bridge, and erosion control work with detailed line items including grading, traffic control, asphalt and concrete pavement, storm drain infrastructure, sanitary and water utilities, bridge construction with steel piling, and permanent grassing. The bid quantities document outlines over 150 individual pay items with specific unit quantities, ranging from lump sum items to thousands of linear feet of pipe and square yards of pavement and concrete work. The total project cost is approximately $9 million. Notably, the addendum clarifies that bid bonds and performance and payment bonds are not required from testing agencies serving as service providers on this project.

The addendum addresses multiple bidder inquiries regarding submission requirements and contract documentation. Delivery of proposals could be made in person to the Customer Service drive-thru window (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm), hand-delivered to the officer on duty, or submitted via delivery services such as FedEx, UPS, or USPS to the front door; electronic submissions were not accepted. The addendum specifies that the Non-Collusion form is required only if the bidder's company has made financial contributions to the City, its employees, or Mayor and Council, and the Subcontractor Affidavit must be submitted if the proposer plans to use subcontractors. No bid bond form is provided by the City, and proposers are responsible for locating bid bond agencies independently if required. The submission requirements checklist on page 6 of the original RFP documents serves as the guide for proposal organization and completion.
