About this file

This is Addendum Four to Request for Bid (RFB) No. RFB-30-25 issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, for switchgear replacement at Owensboro Community & Technical College Downtown Campus in Owensboro, Kentucky. The addendum, dated August 19, 2024, addresses five bidder inquiries regarding existing electrical equipment specifications and demolition requirements. Key issues clarified include equipment sizing and locations for disconnects and transformers in the Industry Innovation Lab (Room 17), Storage (Room 18E), and Art Lab (Room 25); the location of a VFD with fused bypass switch in the mechanical room (Room 13B); and primary electrical service conduit requirements at the utility transformer pad. The addendum establishes that contractors are responsible for field verification of existing conditions and coordinating with Owensboro Municipal Utilities, with all associated costs to be included in the bid price. The point of contact for utility coordination is identified as Phillip Baize from Owensboro Municipal Utilities.

The addendum specifies that for bidding purposes, contractors should assume one 5-inch conduit is required to be stubbed out of the primary compartment for the primary feed. No pricing information, set-aside provisions, incumbent contractor details, or funding sources are disclosed in this document. The addendum becomes binding upon the contract issued in response to this invitation to bid, with reference to a separate addendum from Lynn Imaging for additional specifications and drawing changes.
