About this file
This is an addendum containing questions and answers for a 911 Feasibility Study (25-105PFD) issued by the City of Peachtree City, Georgia. The document addresses 25 questions regarding a feasibility study for establishing a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), with key stakeholders identified as Peachtree City Fire/EMS, Police and Public Works. The project aims to evaluate options for a functioning PSAP that meets best practices, with consolidation being one of three potential options. The study includes considerations for a new facility, though building size and specifications are to be determined by the proposing firm.
The current environment involves Fayette County Emergency Communications Center (ECC) handling all data collection and technology inventory. The county operates separate systems for emergency and non-emergency calls, with existing protocols in place that will be shared with the selected firm. A mobile data system integrated with CAD is currently in use, though data sharing with Peachtree City is limited. The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) landscape includes a primary facility operated by Fayette County Fire Department and a smaller EOC operated by Peachtree City. If county cost-sharing isn't feasible, the city may need to implement new call systems and protocols, with cost information available through open records requests.
