About this file

Addendum No. 3 for IFB 250201 is issued by the City of Leesburg for the Venetian Cove Marina Improvement Project, addressing multiple bidder questions and providing clarifications. The project involves marina dock expansion and improvements, with two potential contract components: Contract A for the marina office building and Contract B for dock expansion. The project includes installing new floating docks (approximately 9,400 sq. ft.), with main walkways 6' wide and approximately 170' long, and finger docks 3' wide and 25' long. Bidders are not required to bid on both contracts, and a new gangway is required for the new floating main dock. The marina is intended to remain open during construction, with potential temporary shutdowns.

The project has a total budget of $1,700,000.00 and includes a 10% construction contingency. A bid bond equal to five percent of the total bid price is required. Temporary utilities will be needed during construction, and the project must adhere to ADA requirements. A LIMITED Notice To Proceed (NTP) can be issued for material procurement. Dock details such as buoyancy, fendering, decking type, and cleat specifications will be provided by the manufacturer and subject to city and engineer approval. The Davis-Bacon Act does not apply to this project, and bidders are instructed to submit questions through the Bonfire eProcurement portal.
