About this file
This is Addendum No. 2 (Q&A) to RFP No. PW-24-403 issued by the City of Long Beach Department of Financial Management for Truck Billboard Installation and Maintenance services. The addendum clarifies key project requirements through eleven questions and answers. The contract covers billboard sign installation and maintenance on City trucks only, excluding Waste Management vehicles and truck door graphics. The vendor will be responsible for changing out frames and flipping graphics on a schedule to be mutually developed with the City, ideally every other month or at minimum every quarter. New trucks have already been ordered with frames pre-mounted. Vendors must be available to perform frame and sign board installations Monday through Friday after 3:00 p.m. and Saturday anytime after 6:30 a.m. An annual switching schedule will be established at the beginning of each contract year.
Proposers may submit sample materials as part of their bids and should provide pricing options if multiple material types are available. Graphics panels do not need to be double-sided. The City indicated it lacks internal capacity to perform the frequent sign flipping required. Failure to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing and submitting it with the proposal may result in disqualification. The City emphasized that only written communications confirmed by the City Contact are binding; oral communications outside the official process are not the City's responsibility.
