About this file
This is an addendum to a Request for Bids issued by the New Hampshire Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) regarding soil and groundwater contamination sampling services at Mount Washington State Park. The addendum provides responses to contractor inquiries regarding project #CAP2610 (MWSP_SGS_RFB04-22-26-(002), dated April 22, 2026). The document confirms that a current survey plan delineating State Park boundaries is available upon request from DNCR. The addendum clarifies that some contamination sites are already identified within the project area, with DNCR prepared to provide relevant information regarding these locations, most of which were contaminated prior to DNCR's ownership of the property. Additionally, the addendum addresses groundwater expectations, noting that groundwater is generally not anticipated within the overburden due to thin soils and shallow bedrock conditions; however, isolated perched water may be encountered during field activities.
This addendum does not address pricing structures, set-asides, incumbent contractors, or specific funding details. Rather, it serves as a clarification document to address vendor questions submitted prior to the sealed bid deadline of May 15, 2026, allowing prospective bidders to refine their proposals based on the State's responses regarding site conditions and data availability. The responses facilitate informed bidding by establishing baseline expectations regarding contamination documentation, survey information accessibility, and hydrogeological conditions that will inform the scope of work execution between June 1 and July 31, 2026.
