About this file
This document is Addendum 2 for the Idaho Springs Parking Management Services contract, issued by the City of Idaho Springs, Colorado on March 3, 2025. The addendum provides a comprehensive Q&A document for potential vendors interested in managing the city's parking system, covering operational details, current procedures, and expectations for the parking management program. The contract seeks a vendor to provide end-to-end parking management services, including technology, hardware, operations, staffing, daily operations, signage, maintenance, customer service, and enforcement.
Key details include a current parking system with residential, employee, and visitor permits, enforcement from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week, and a $50 initial citation fee increasing to $100 after 14 days. The city requires the vendor to maintain an office in Idaho Springs and serve as the Merchant of Record for parking transactions. Notable operational aspects include a downtown pedestrian marketplace on Miner Street from May to October, holiday parking enforcement, and the potential for future dynamic pricing. The city owns no EV chargers but has existing chargers from various private entities. The vendor will be responsible for signage costs and must comply with Colorado's website accessibility laws when developing parking information platforms.
