About this file

This document is Addendum #2 containing questions and answers for the 4700 Thomas & Brown Building Replacement project at New Mexico State University (NMSU). The document covers a wide range of technical and logistical inquiries from potential contractors, including specifications for Division 25 Integrated Automation, steel fabrication requirements, mechanical equipment schedules, demolition site access, building contents removal, staging area considerations, communications infrastructure, LEED certification details, automatic door operators, glazing and column cover specifications, and HVAC control conduit responsibilities.

Key points include the contractor being responsible for removing and disposing of furniture, equipment, and miscellaneous items from the building, coordinating site access and staging areas with NMSU, and clarifying various technical specifications through addendum updates. Several responses require contractors to coordinate directly with NMSU networking and facilities departments, and many technical details will be provided in subsequent addenda. The project appears to involve complex renovation or replacement work with specific requirements for sustainability (LEED certification), mechanical systems, glazing, and electrical infrastructure.
