About this file

This document is Addendum Number 2 issued by New Mexico State University's Procurement Services for RFP #2024-RFP-585, concerning On-Call Architectural/Engineering Services. The addendum clarifies the proposal requirements, specifically addressing whether firms must submit full-service proposals covering all disciplines. The university indicates that proposers can submit proposals for individual disciplines or specialized services, such as mechanical/electrical engineering or landscape architecture, and that this sourcing event will result in multiple awards. Proposals are due on July 15, 2024, at 2:00 PM, and potential bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum.

The addendum provides critical clarification that responding firms are not required to present comprehensive, full-service teams covering all architectural and engineering disciplines. Instead, firms can propose services in specific categories, with the expectation that the university will make multiple awards across different service disciplines. The document emphasizes that proposals should clearly state the specific category of services being offered, allowing specialized firms like mechanical/electrical engineering or landscape architecture practices to participate in the procurement process without needing to assemble a complete, multi-disciplinary team.

DATE: May 21, 2024

RFP #: 2024‐RFP‐585

ADDENDUM NUMBER: 2

FOR

NMSU On‐Call Architectural/Engineering Services

The following revision shall be incorporated in the RFP referenced above.

All other provisions of the bid shall remain unchanged.

Questions/Clarification:

1. Question: In regards to RFP 2024‐RFP‐585 NMSU On‐call Architectural/Engineering Services, to be considered a Responsive Proposal do you require a full‐service team that covers all disciplines to submit a proposal or will you be making awards for individual disciplines as well? For example, would a mechanical/electrical engineering firm that submits a proposal to provide on‐call MEP engineering services be considered a Responsive Proposal?

Answer: We do not require a full‐service team to cover all disciplines and all types of disciplines do not need to be addressed in a single proposal. The proposal should clearly state which category of services the proposals submittal covers. This sourcing event will be a multi award.

2. Question: Can a firm propose on one service only for example Landscape Architecture or are you looking for a full inclusive team?

Answer: See response to question 1.
