About this file

This is Addendum #03 to Bid Invitation 18-27 issued by the State of New Hampshire, Division of Procurement and Support Services, for the procurement of a commercial pot and pan dishwasher unit for NH Hospital in Concord. The addendum addresses twelve clarification questions submitted by potential bidders regarding the Hobart PW20N-ADV-2 model specification, delivery requirements, and optional equipment. Key responses confirm that the hospital has an existing non-operational Hobart dishwasher on-site, requires 480V electrical configuration, seeks standard racks without specialty additions, and prefers delivery directly from the manufacturer with white glove service including uncrating and placement in the kitchen. The hospital confirmed adequate loading dock accessibility, elevator availability for movement to a first-floor location, and willingness to include removal of the existing unit as part of delivery services. The addendum specifies no alternate brands or models will be considered and explicitly rejects proposals for Energy Star-rated ventless alternatives. The original bid closing date has been extended from August 31, 2026 at 10:00 AM to September 2, 2026 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.

The procurement is structured as a single one-time purchase order with no renewal options, requiring F.O.B. Destination pricing with all delivery costs included and no additional surcharges or fuel charges permitted. Successful vendors must deliver the equipment within 30 days of purchase order receipt and provide a minimum one-year warranty covering all parts, shipping, labor, travel, lodging, and expenses. Award will be made to the lowest-cost vendor meeting all specified requirements. All vendors must be registered to conduct business in New Hampshire with a completed vendor application on file prior to award. Payment terms require settlement 30 days after invoice receipt or delivery and acceptance, whichever is later, via ACH transfer. The purchasing agent is Rhonda Girard, and all changes noted in this addendum supersede previously submitted documents and must accompany bid submissions.

Question 1: Does the NH hospital have an existing HOBART (or another brand) commercial pot & pan dishwasher on-site?

State Response: Yes, Hobart, Model # PW20eR

Question 2: Is it in operation @ the present time?

State Response: No, the machine is not operational and is a critical piece of equipment in meeting food safety guidelines.

Question 3: Will the new unit be placed in the same location in the NH hospital kitchen as an existing unit?

State Response: Yes, this will be placed in the same location as the current, non-operating machine.

Question 4: What is the electrical power configuration required for the new pot & pan dishwasher (208V/60/3-phase or 480V/60/3-phase)? Please specify. Does the NH Hospital want the optional WATER HAMER ARRESTOR kit included for this machine? (NOTE: A water Hammer Arrestor absorbs sudden hydraulic shock waves in plumbing pipes. When a valve or appliance shuts off quickly, fast-moving water stops abruptly, creating a loud banging noise and high-pressure spike. This is a common issue in modern commercial dishwashers. The arrestor uses an internal sealed air or gas cushion with a piston to absorb this surge, protecting pipes and fittings from damage.

State Response: The panel states 480V. We can forgo this option in the bid per Facilities.

Question 5: Does the NH Hospital wish to add OPTIONAL specialty racks, in addition to the large 48” x 27” x 5”H standard dishracks supplied with the new PW20n-ADV Pot/pan & utensil dishwasher?

State Response: Standard racks are adequate- (2) flat grid, (2) tray rack & (1) flat bottom rack.

Question 7: HOBART also offers an HOTEL pan rack designed to hold various 20” x 12” s/s hotel pans in an upright position to facilitate cleaning. Two (2) racks will fir in the wash chamber. See attached HOBART Ware washing Dishracks PDF more info. Specs say that the NH Hospital will accept a direct delivery to the NH Hospital loading dock. Is this correct?

State Response: ? Yes, a direct delivery from the manufacturer or from a vendor, whichever is fastest. We would like to opt in for the white glove delivery as well as the removal of the existing unit at time of delivery.

Question 8: Please confirm that the NH Hospital has a standard height, truck accessible loading dock @ their facility State Response: Yes, there is a standard height, truck accessible loading dock.

Question 9: Will they accept a drop shipment direct from the manufacturer?

State Response: ? Yes, direct from the manufacturer is acceptable. We would like to opt in for the white glove delivery as well as the removal of the existing unit at time of delivery.

Question 10: This is a very large, heavy machine. The Shipping Weight is approximately 815 lbs.& it is shipped fully crated. The Crated Dimensions are 88"H x 58-3/4"W x 40-3/4"D Would the NH Hospital prefer to have an OPTIONAL “white glove” inside delivery including uncrating the new unit & setting in place the new unit in its specified location in the foodservice kitchen (for final mechanical connections by others)? Please confirm that there are no stairs between the Hospital loading dock & the new unit’s final location in the kitchen. Please also confirm that there are large enough, unobstructed doors (exterior & interior) & sufficient unobstructed aisles to move the uncrated new unit from the loading dock to the Hospital’s specified final location.

State Response: There is an elevator that will be used to move the machine to a first floor location. Yes, there is adequate space to uncrate the unit in the loading dock area.
