About this file
This document is Addendum #2 for Bid #B24-57, issued by the Morris County Division of Purchasing in New Jersey for the Replacement of the Wharton DPW Building on Worman Avenue. The addendum changes the bid opening date to April 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM and provides responses to several technical questions from potential bidders. The questions cover detailed specifications for the project, including HVAC controls (based on Daikin), diffuser and register schedules, fire alarm contractor information, and technical requirements for the pre-engineered metal building such as ground snow load (30 PSF), live load (20 PSF), and collateral load (7 PSF).
The addendum emphasizes compliance with New Jersey statutes, specifically N.J.S.A. 40A:11-18, which requires the use of American-manufactured products wherever possible. Additional clarifications include specifications on metal gauge requirements (minimum 22-gauge), electrical wiring details for various systems, and guidance on handling existing fuel dispensing branch circuits. Bidders are required to acknowledge the addendum and include the attached acknowledgment form with their sealed bid proposal. The project appears to involve a comprehensive replacement of an existing Department of Public Works facility, with detailed technical specifications to ensure precise construction requirements.
