ADDENDUM 1

CLARIFICATION RESPONSE

PUBLIC BID – HOTEL FURNITURE

DATE DUE: SEALED BIDS DUE AUGUST 31, 2026, 2:30 PM EST

1. Scope of Furniture:

The bid documents identify the scope as lounge chairs and ottomans. Can you please confirm that the bid is limited to the 40 lounge chairs and 40 ottomans identified on the Bid Form, and that sofas or other furniture items are not included in this procurement?

The bid is limited to 40 lounge chairs and 40 ottomans.

1. Product Equivalency:

The specifications provide specific dimensions and construction details for the lounge chair and ottoman. Will WROTB consider products that are equal or substantially equivalent to the specified dimensions, construction and overall design, or must the products submitted conform exactly to each specification listed?

Products that are equivalent to the specifications will be considered.

1. Fabric Specification:

The lounge chair specification identifies Culp/Cantina fabric. Is the specified fabric mill required, or will WROTB consider an equivalent upholstery fabric from another approved mill that meets the required appearance, durability and performance standards?

The Culp/Cantina fabric as specified is a requirement of this bid.

1. Fire/Flammability and Performance Requirements:

The bid specifications do not identify specific fire-retardancy, flammability, commercial upholstery, durability, or other performance standards for the furniture or fabric. Are there specific code, fire/flammability, CAL 117, TB 117-2013, NFPA, ASTM, or other performance requirements that bidders must meet?

Flammability Ratings & Standards

· CA TB 117-2013: Passes (vertical char under 45 mm, no open flame transition, and restricted smoldering duration).

· FMVSS 302: Complies with standard automotive interior burning behavior requirements.

· Additional Standard Codes Met ( per manufacturer specifications): UFAC Class 1 / NFPA 260, ASTM E-84 (unadhered), and BIFMA ratings when used with appropriate furniture components. [1, 3, 4]

1. Product Submittals/Samples:

The bid requires a color picture sample of the chair and ottoman to be included with the bid packet. Is a manufacturer’s product image/specification sheet sufficient, or is WROTB requiring an actual physical sample or fabric swatch to be submitted with the bid?

A product image is acceptable as the picture sample.
