About this file
This is Addendum #1 to Bid Invitation #109-26 issued by the New Hampshire Department of Administrative Services, Division of Procurement and Support Services, regarding the supply and installation of 32 LiftMaster photo eye equipment sets. The project involves furnishing and installing LiftMaster CPS-UM4 NEMA 4 rated photo eye kits with brackets, assembly, mounting, wiring, alignment, and safety sensor testing at 33 Smokey Bear Boulevard, Concord, New Hampshire 03301. The scope includes 50 feet of two-conductor wiring per door and use of a scissors lift, with an estimated completion timeline of 3-4 days. All equipment must be new, current model year, and not used, rebuilt, or refurbished. The bid closing date is March 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, and the successful vendor must complete delivery and installation within 45 business days from contract award. The addendum clarifies that the single-beam CPS-UM4 photo eye with NEMA 4 rating is the specified equipment, confirming all operators are modern LiftMaster units, and rejects the vendor's suggestion to substitute light curtains as an upsell.
Comprehensive general liability insurance of not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate is required, along with workers' compensation insurance as mandated by New Hampshire RSA Chapter 281-A. The vendor must provide a warranty for not less than one year or the manufacturer's standard period, whichever is greater, covering 100 percent of all parts, shipping, labor, travel, lodging, and expenses. All pricing must be inclusive of delivery and other costs with no additional surcharges, fuel charges, or special fees to be added later. Payment will be made via ACH within 30 days after invoice receipt or item acceptance, whichever is later. Vendors must be registered with the New Hampshire Bureau of Purchase and Property and, if applicable, with the New Hampshire Secretary of State. All on-site employees may be subject to background check requirements at the vendor's expense. The award will be made to the responsible vendor submitting a conforming bid at the lowest cost. The purchasing agent is Corrine Tatro, reachable at NH.Purchasing@das.nh.gov.

Questions Answers What is the actual site location? Is it 25 Capital Street? The install is located at 33 Smokey Bear Blvd, Concord, NH 03301, page 7 section 24.1.
Can you confirm the all the operators requiring photo eyes are modern Liftmaster Operators and not analog?
CONFIRMED
Are you referring to the LM CPS-UN4 ?
These are water proof and cost more than a standard photo eye, CPS-U.
CPS-U are Standard LM eyes that are usually utilized in common settings.
CPS-UN4 are usually utilized in extremely harsh conditions such as carwashes, wash bays...Hence the NEMA 4 Rating.
They are also only a single beam. If a ladder or tailgate is hanging in the opening, these eyes will do nothing.
We like to suggest Light Curtains for large Equipment Doors. These have multiple beams to ensure the door does not come down on equipment, have you seen these?
The NEMA4 rating is what we specified.
If properly positioned, single beam will be sufficient in this application. While we appreciate the suggestion, the upsell is not warranted.
