About this file
This Addendum 01 document provides clarifications to a Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) radio tower contract opportunity addressing supplier questions related to two projects: Hughesville and Jefferson City. The projects involve removal and reinstallation of existing tower infrastructure and associated equipment. For the Hughesville Project, MoDOT clarified that contractors must remove the existing guyed tower structure, concrete bases, and guy wire foundations to a minimum depth of one foot below grade. The Jefferson City Project involves a self-supporting tower with concrete piers measuring 18 feet 6 inches apart with 24-inch diameters. The Hughesville site coordinates are 38.8566389 N, -93.21864 W. For the Jefferson City location, MoDOT will reinstall a Cambium 2-foot antenna dish (model CAM-RDH4499A) at 170 feet height. At Hughesville, MSHP antennas will be installed at approximately 200 feet with 7/8-inch coax provided by the agency.
MoDOT confirmed that existing microwave equipment at Jefferson City is a Cambium 2-foot antenna dish model CAM-RDH4499A, and the agency does not currently have site and tower drawings available for Jefferson City but provided a drawing for the Hughesville guyed tower configuration. The addendum does not specify pricing terms, contract duration, or funding sources. This clarification document serves to resolve ambiguities in the original Invitation for Bid (IFB) to ensure accurate scoping and design specifications from prospective contractors.

Addendum 01 Supplier questions and MoDOT responses:
Question 1: For the Hughesville Project, the site location on page 32 only provides the LAT and the Long is missing. Can you please provide?
Response 2: 38.856639 N, -93.218640 W Question 2: Hughesville Project- 4.1.1 it states contractor to remove existing tower and foundations. Section 4.1.5.1, IFB states all concrete bases including tower foundation to be removed a minimum of 1’ below grade. Can you please clarify which of the 2 statements we should be scoping?
Response 2: Both are correct. 4.1.1 The existing tower structure and the concrete bases need to be hauled off and removed from the property. 4.1.5.1 The tower concrete base and the bases for the existing guy wires need to be removed, chipped out, one foot below ground level.
Question 3: Jefferson City- Section 4.2.10.1, can you provide the size of the existing MW dish that will be reinstalled at 170ft so we can provide the correct loading on the tower design?
Response 3: Cambium 2’ antenna dish. CAM-RDH4499A Question 4: For Hughesville, what heights will the MSHP antennas be installed and what kind of coax feeding them?
Response 4: Coax that they provide will be 7/8”. As for as height of MSHP antenna, I am not sure of, don’t have any documentation on that, but probably around 200’.
Question 5: For Jefferson City, can you provide the spec sheet or model # for the microwave dish that is to be reinstalled?
Response 5: Cambium 2’ Antenna Dish, CAM-RDH4499A Question 6: Do you guys have any site and tower drawings for the existing tower locations?
Response 6: Below is a drawing of Hughesville and it is a guyed tower. I do not have a drawing of Jefferson City, but it is a self-supporting tower. The concrete peers are 18’6” apart, and the diameter of the peers are 24”.
Question 7: Can you provide the coordinates for the Hughesville site? Half of the numbers were missing from the RFP.
Response 7: 38.8566389 N, -93.21864 W image1.png
