About this file

This is Addendum No. 01 to Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2526 058 issued by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) for elevator maintenance and repair services in the Northwest Region. The solicitation seeks a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive maintenance and repair services for three hydraulic elevators located in Tallahassee, Quincy, and Marianna, including scheduled preventative maintenance, 24/7 callback services, emergency repairs, component replacements, and annual safety inspections in accordance with ASME A17.1 standards. Respondents must submit three mandatory documents: Required Certifications (PMT-58), Technical Response (PMT-59), and Cost Proposal (PMT-60), along with Exhibit A—Schedule of Initial Base Hourly Rates for Contractor's Personnel and Exhibit B—Contractor's Schedule of Unit Prices. An optional in-person pre-bid conference is available from November 24 through December 12, 2025. Written questions are due by January 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with the Department's responses anticipated by January 15, 2026. Responses are due January 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with public bid opening scheduled for 3:00 p.m. the same day. The Notice of Intent to Award is anticipated January 29, 2026. The contract will commence July 1, 2026, and continue through June 30, 2031, for a five-year term with potential renewal subject to Florida Statutes 287.057(14).

The addendum updates the original timeline and contract dates, with the anticipated contract start date revised from February 1, 2026, to July 1, 2026, and the contract term extended accordingly to June 30, 2031. Respondents must hold certification from the Florida Building Code and Inspectors Board and be registered with the Florida Department of State. The contract includes provisions for monthly compensation with potential annual price adjustments capped at three percent, allocated at 80 percent to labor and 20 percent to materials. Contractors must provide comprehensive general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 general aggregate, along with workers' compensation and employer's liability insurance. The Department intends to award the contract to the responsible and responsive respondent submitting the lowest responsive bid and reserves the right to reject any or all responses or select multiple respondents if deemed in the State's best interest. No specific set-aside designations, incumbent information, or explicit budget ranges are stated in the addendum.
