About this file

This is a Questions & Clarifications document (AA-2026-08) for a federal contract solicitation regarding BPM Chassis – Group B, C and D.

The document addresses two primary inquiries from contractors. First, it clarifies that third-party testing for AMD ZCU216 production testing falls within the contract scope and is the responsibility of the winning contractor. However, contractors may submit proposals that exclude this third-party testing, and proposals will be evaluated on ability to perform functional testing without exclusion from consideration based on this exclusion. Second, the document provides clarification regarding fabrication instructions for PCB boards that were not readily apparent in the provided files. For the AFE RF B board, fab instructions are located on the "user fab" layer displayed in green within the ODB++ files. For the AMI board, fab instructions are shown on the "user drawings" layer in red. The document indicates that all other terms and conditions of the RFP remain unchanged.

Questions & Clarifications #2

AA-2026-08

BPM Chassis – Group B, C and D

*Please note that LBNL responses are in blue*

1. Wherever third party is mentioned in the responses:

“The above items are part of the AMD ZCU216 production testing performed by a third party.”

Will this third-party testing be the responsibility of LBNL, or the responsibility of the company who wins the contract?

The Statement of Work is written such that the third-party testing is in the scope of the contract, and therefore the responsibility of the company who wins the contract. However, a contractor may submit a bid that does not include this third-party testing. Evaluation of proposals will include ability to perform functional test, but will not exclude consideration.

2. =>In AFE RF B folders in below path we didn’t find any ODB++ or fab drawing PDF files as we found in AFE RF A.

Path: AFE RF B PCB Mfg, AL-1760-5393-L\PCB\Output

=>In AMI PCB , We didn’t find any fab drawing in PDf and in ODB++ data user drawing is not opening and there is no other layer regarding fab drawing/notes.

The fab instructions for the AFE RF B board are shown on the "user fab" layer in green:

The fab instructions for the AMI board are shown on the "user drawings" layer in red:

All other terms and conditions of this RFP remain the same.
