About this file
This document is an Ordering Data Sheet for a Nine Nuclide Gamma Calibration Source. The source is a 500 ml solid epoxy matrix containing a mixture of 9 radionuclides in specific activity ratios. The total source activity shall be 3.0 microcuries (-15%, +0%) with each nuclide's reported radioactivity uncertainty not exceeding 5% at the 99% confidence level. Surface contamination levels must be less than 450 pCi/100cm^2. The vendor must ensure the source activity is not greater than the exempt quantity per 10 CFR 30. A Certificate of Calibration is required, with the source being NIST traceable.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Pre-Solicitation for a Gamma Radioactive Source, to be solicited as a 100% Small Business set-aside using FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures. Solicitation N4523A-24-Q-4072 will be posted to SAM.gov on or about 13 August 2024, with quotes due on or about 23 August 2024. The anticipated contract will be a commercial, Firm Fixed-price Supply Contract awarded by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Contracting Department for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF).
