About this file

This document is an Ordering Data Sheet for a Radioactive Source required by the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & IMF. The source is a nine-nuclide gamma calibration source in a 500 ml solid epoxy matrix. The total source activity shall be 3.0 microcuries (+/- 15%) and the reported radioactivity uncertainty of each nuclide shall not exceed 5% at the 99% confidence level. The vendor must ensure the source activity is not greater than the exempt quantity per 10 CFR 30. The source must be NIST-traceable, and the vendor must provide a Certificate of Calibration documenting the source details. The source will be shipped by the vendor to the specified address at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & IMF. Changes to the technical requirements require approval from the Administrative Contracting Officer.

The related federal contract opportunity is for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to procure a Gamma Radioactive Source for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. This will be a 100% Small Business set-aside, commercial, Firm Fixed-price Supply Contract solicited under FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures. Solicitation N4523A-24-Q-4072 will be posted to sam.gov on or about 13 August 2024, with quotes due on or about 23 August 2024. Vendors must be registered in the SAM database to be eligible for award.
