About this file

This document is a Water Pollution Control Facilities (WPCF) Permit issued by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality to the Bureau of Land Management for the Shotgun Creek Sewage Treatment Plant. The permit authorizes the Bureau of Land Management to operate a stabilization lagoon with aeration for wastewater treatment and disposal, specifically through land application of recycled water via spray irrigation. The permit requires strict monitoring and reporting, including daily flow measurements, monthly testing for biochemical oxygen demand and total suspended solids, weekly total coliform testing, and daily chlorine residual checks.

Key permit conditions include managing recycled water according to an approved Recycled Water Use Plan, preventing surface water contamination, maintaining proper treatment standards (Class C treatment), and ensuring no discharge to state waters. The permittee must submit annual reports by January 15 describing the effectiveness of the recycled water system and a solids handling report by February 19. The permit was issued on November 30, 2010, with an expiration date of June 30, 2019, for the Shotgun Creek treatment facility located in Lane County, Oregon, with outfall designated for land application of recycled water.
