About this file

This document is a set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Shotgun Wastewater Treatment Plant, detailing operational protocols for wastewater systems. The procedures outline weekly system inspections, compliance requirements with the Shotgun Wastewater Permit and Recycled Water Use Plan, and daily operational data logging. Project requests can originate from various sources including District Engineering Team, Recreation Staff, Field Office Staff, or emergency situations.

The document also provides contracting guidelines, specifying that contracts with an Independent Government Estimate under $25,000 will be procured through district procurement, while contracts $25,000 or greater require State Office procurement with prior engineering review. The accompanying technical drawings include detailed schematics of the wastewater treatment infrastructure, specifically showing the chlorine contact tank details, site layout, and effluent disposal area with specifications for pipe systems, sprinkler heads, valves, and installation parameters.
