About this file

This document provides instructions for offloading liquified natural gas from a transport tanker to fuel storage tanks at a station. It outlines 16 steps for safely connecting the transport tanker, building pressure in the lines, opening valves to purge moisture and begin pumping, monitoring the pump operation, closing valves, disconnecting hoses and removing grounding equipment once offloading is complete.

The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of the Interior National Park Service Intermountain Region to provide fuel station maintenance services for liquified natural gas at Grand Canyon National Park. The solicitation seeks a contractor to perform the offloading procedure and ongoing maintenance of the fuel storage and dispensing equipment to keep the station operational.
