About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly service for Brookhaven National Laboratory, managed by Brookhaven Science Associates for the U.S. Department of Energy. The work is structured in two phases: Phase 1 involves building 20 pre-production board assemblies as a qualification step, with delivery required in less than one month and a certificate of quality compliance mandatory. A quote for both 20 (phase 1) and 360 (phase 2) board assemblies must be provided.
Optional Phase 2 involves building 360 production board assemblies for the Far Detector in Vertical Drift (FD-VD) technology. The vendor will be responsible for labor only, with Brookhaven National Laboratory providing PCBs and parts. Delivery of the 360 production boards will occur within 3 months after contract modification, distributed in 3 batches of approximately 120 pieces per month. Key requirements include offsite assembly, adherence to promised lead times, no after-hours or weekend work, and shipping responsibility falling to the vendor. The Technical Representative must approve all jobs, and the vendor must provide a quote and quality compliance documentation.
