About this file

This is Addendum No. 2 to the contract documents for the Martin Luther King Jr. Park Renovation project (Job #900299, Bid Number 11) issued by the City of Eugene, Oregon on July 8, 2024. The addendum modifies three sections of the special provisions: Subsurface Investigations, which specifies that existing wastewater manhole #4879 is a 42-inch diameter structure with a standard cone and 6 inches of adjusting rings; Cooperation with Other Contractors, which clarifies that playground area surfacing will be installed under a separate contract and must be coordinated with the general contractor's schedule, with the surfacing contractor responsible for protecting all completed improvements; and Play Area Base Aggregate, which requires installation of three-quarter-inch minus crushed rock to specified thicknesses and elevations while protecting the prepared subgrade from damage or equipment traffic. All bidders must acknowledge receipt and acceptance of this addendum by signing and submitting it with their bid; failure to do so may result in bids being deemed non-responsive.

The addendum was issued by City Engineer Jenifer Willer and requires bidder acknowledgment and agreement by signature as a condition of bid submission. All other contract conditions remain unchanged, and bidders must incorporate the effects of these changes into the appropriate bid items included in the addendum and add them to the total on the bid form. Questions regarding the addendum or project may be directed to Lindsay Smith at (541) 729-4301.
