About this file
This is a bid form for the 2025 Asphalt Maintenance Project (RFB #4442) issued by the City of Owensboro, Kentucky, with bid opening scheduled for 2:00 P.M. local prevailing time on Thursday, September 4, 2025. The project involves seal and stripe work at 13 locations including various city parks (Jack C. Fisher Park, Chautauqua Park), fire stations, parking lots, and sections of the Greenbelt trail system totaling approximately 5.5 miles of path maintenance. Bidders must submit their proposals through the Bonfire portal at owensboro.bonfirehub.com, and bids will remain valid for acceptance for 60 days after opening or longer if agreed to in writing by the bidder.
The bid form requires contractors to provide individual pricing for each of the 13 line items, with work types including parking lot seal and stripe operations, trail seal and stripe maintenance, and emergency call number striping for Greenbelt Park. Bidders must include required attachments such as bid security, a list of proposed subcontractors, KRS forms, and an exceptions form. The document emphasizes that bidders are responsible for visiting each site to assess conditions, as the owner provides no formal reports on job site conditions but will make available any helpful historical documents in their possession. Unit prices will be computed according to contract documents and specifications, with final payment based on actual quantities rather than estimated amounts.
