About this file
This document is a request for approved equals submitted to Broward County, Florida for the Interior Signage project at the North Regional Courthouse. The request outlines the process by which vendors may submit alternative products or manufacturers that are substantially equal to those specified in the contract documents, specifically referencing Attachment C-Product Specifications. Vendors seeking to propose approved equal products must submit detailed documentation demonstrating that their proposed alternative meets or exceeds the performance, quality, durability, and aesthetic requirements of the specified products, including technical data sheets, samples, and certifications as applicable.
The approval process requires vendors to provide comprehensive comparative information between the proposed equal and the specified product, including material composition, dimensions, finishes, installation requirements, and warranty coverage. All requests for approved equals must be submitted in writing to the Project Manager prior to bid submission to allow adequate time for evaluation and determination. Broward County reserves the right to accept or reject any proposed equal based on whether it meets the project's technical and functional requirements, and only those products receiving prior written approval from the County may be incorporated into the vendor's bid proposal.
