About this file

This is a minimum insurance requirements document issued by the Finance and Administrative Services Department for Broward County, Florida, establishing mandatory coverage for a Third-Party Custodian/Safe Keeping Services project. The document specifies comprehensive insurance obligations for contractors, including general liability with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, automobile liability with $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage limits, workers' compensation at statutory limits, employers' liability at $100,000 per accident, professional liability (errors and omissions) at $3,000,000 per claim with a maximum deductible of $100,000, cyber liability at $5,000,000 per claim with a maximum deductible of $100,000, and crime and fidelity insurance at $5,000,000 per claim with Broward County designated as loss payee.

The insurance requirements mandate that Broward County be named as an additional insured on liability policies, with the contractor's insurance providing primary coverage without contribution requirements from the County. The contractor must provide 30 days' written notice of cancellation and 10 days' notice for non-payment cancellations. For claims-made policies, insurance coverage must be maintained and evidence of insurance provided for at least three years following contract completion. The contractor's insurance shall include a waiver of subrogation in favor of Broward County, and automobile liability coverage may be waived if no driving is required for performance of services.
