Tactile room numbers must be between 5/8-inch and 3/4-inch high and raised, mounted adjacent to the door latch side with tactile text positioned 48 inches minimum to 60 inches maximum above the finished floor. Mounting shall use high-strength VHB tape or concealed mechanical fasteners depending on wall substrate, with all signs installed level, plumb, and flush to wall surfaces. For Sign Types A and F, vendors must provide polycarbonate or printed paper inserts on templates in Acrobat or Word format to allow owner updates. Prior to fabrication, vendors must submit shop drawings, finish and color samples, and full-size sign mock-ups for each sign type for County review and approval.
