About this file
The document is a comprehensive project manual for the Draper Library HVAC Remodel Project, issued by Salt Lake County Library Services. The project involves replacing the existing HVAC systems at the Draper Library located at 1136 Pioneer Road in Draper, Utah. The project will include removing existing split systems and installing a new chiller and four-pipe air handling units (AHUs) according to detailed construction documents. The project manual was prepared by GSBS Architects and includes extensive technical specifications across multiple divisions, covering everything from general requirements to specific mechanical and electrical systems. The manual provides a complete set of instructions for contractors, including detailed requirements for materials, installation, testing, and quality control.
The project is fully funded by Salt Lake County and will be constructed under a single prime contract. The technical specifications indicate a comprehensive approach to the HVAC replacement, with specific requirements for equipment selection, installation, and performance. The project manual includes detailed sections on mechanical systems, electrical systems, insulation, and control systems, with a focus on achieving energy efficiency and meeting Salt Lake County's design standards. The specifications call for high-quality materials and installation techniques, including specific requirements for ductwork, piping, insulation, and electrical components. The project appears to be designed to modernize the library's HVAC infrastructure, improve energy efficiency, and ensure reliable climate control for the facility.
