About this file
This document is an Amendment No. 1 to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by Salt Lake County for Facility Condition Assessments (FCA), with RFP # FAC122864. The project involves conducting comprehensive facility assessments across multiple county buildings, with a closing date of September 3, 2025. Key modifications in this amendment include removing certain facilities from the assessment list, updating the facility list and pricing schedule, adding an elevator list to the table of contents, and removing the Maintenance Program Review from the original scope of work. The contract appears to be structured for a potential 6-year term, with the county intending to conduct FCAs every 5 years and potentially assessing additional buildings purchased or considered for purchase.
The amendment provides several clarifications for potential bidders, including that the awarded consultant will not be precluded from future design opportunities but will be excluded from bidding on construction portions of identified projects. Pricing will be based on square footage, with firms allowed to provide pricing to the 1/10th of a cent. The county will provide a read-only login to their FAMIS asset management system and may share previous master plans and FCA reports with the awarded proposer. Notably, the assessments will include a broad evaluation of electrical and auxiliary systems, equipment inventorying, and a visual ADA compliance review, with the county emphasizing comprehensive and accurate documentation of building assets.

Teresa Young, Aug 26, 2025 8:59 AM MDT, Public - Answered
1.Yes, we would like these systems evaluated at a broad level. Extensive testing of each component is not required but an assessment of the systems status, effectiveness, age, viability, longevity, recommended updates, gaps, etc.
2. We do not anticipate requiring a fault current study as part of the FCAs.
3. We do not anticipate requiring this assessment as part of the FCAs.
