About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for a NASA federal contract solicitation (Notice ID 80SSC026Q0003) for ASME pressure vessels. The document does not provide specific response dates, award dates, pricing terms, or set-asides, as those details are contained in the primary solicitation package posted on SAM.gov.

Key clarifications provided address documentation requirements for prospective bidders. NASA confirmed that no drawings are available for the vessels and that the awarded vendor will be responsible for creating required drawings for Government review. The Statement of Work is the only documentation NASA has provided. Regarding submission procedures, all necessary requirements, instructions, and closing dates are outlined within the solicitation package on SAM.gov. The government does not maintain a formal centralized bidders list; instead, prospective contractors are directed to use SAM.gov's "Follow" feature to receive automatic notifications of updates, amendments, and future opportunities. Additionally, the government clarified that a subcontractor's proposed approach of submitting drawings for approval after Purchase Order receipt, with remaining documentation provided upon unit completion, is acceptable.

Thanks.
