Orion Main Engine (OME) Question & Answers
Question Answer 1 [We] would like ask NASA to get a copy or access to the
CRADLE requirements management document that goes with their OMS-E specification MPCV 72554.
NASA will release the CRADLE requirements in the technical library in the Draft Request for Proposal.
2 Do you know when the drawings might be available? The current Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV) Orbital Maneuvering System Engine (OMS-E) drawings have been posted to the Technical Library in the link below:
https://www.fbo.gov/notices/1170869ef58bbcb3fc79eafa25887cb8
3 Could give us a status update on this RFI submittal? NASA is currently analyzing the results of the Request for Information 80JSC019OME. As mentioned in the Request For Information (RFI), respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation.
4 Can you help me understand if this is a reposting of the prior sources sought, or if there is something new that require resubmittal. The due date is still 22 July 2019.
NASA does not require an additional submission at this time. A notification was delivered because the technical library was added to the Federal Business Opportunities website on August 21, 2019.
5 Will we obtain feedback on our recent submitted OME RFI response?
As mentioned in the RFI, respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation.
6 Will Johnson Space Center be holding meetings and/or an Industry Day similar to what was conducted following the first Request For Information in 2018?
At this time, NASA does not intend to hold another Industry Day.
Interested Parties are welcome to submit questions to jsc-ome@mail.nasa.gov.
7 Please advise us of the next steps in the OME Procurement. Currently, NASA is in the acquisition planning phase. Please continue to monitor the website for additional information for the latest schedule information.
