About this file
This document is an Amendment 002 to Solicitation 75N99025R00029 for Fire Systems & Suppression Maintenance and Repair services, containing a Questions and Answers (Q&A) section. The amendment clarifies two key points: (1) repair work coverage under Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001, and (2) the scope of systems to be maintained. For CLIN 0001, the government confirms that there is no funding cap, and all equipment associated with fire panels should be covered, including repairs identified during routine inspections.
Regarding the scope of services, the Q&A addresses a vendor's concern about the variation between the initial solicitation and the current version. The government confirms that the fire alarm system is expected to be maintained under this contract, despite the current solicitation only referencing sprinkler and fire suppression system reports. This clarification is important because the vendor noted a potential significant price difference if the fire alarm system were to be excluded from the contract's scope.

Solicitation 75N99025R00029 - Fire Systems & Suppression Maintenance and Repair services
Amendment 002 - Solicitation 75N99025R00029
Q&A
1. While we understand that Task 2 / CLIN 0002 is designated for emergency repairs and installation, it is currently marked as “N/A.” Accordingly, we would appreciate clarification on the Government’s expectations regarding repair coverage under CLIN 0001, especially for non-emergency component failures that may arise from scheduled inspections or routine maintenance.
Specifically:
a) Is there a defined ceiling or funding cap for repair work under CLIN 0001? There is no cap, all equipment associated to the fire panels should be covered.
b) Or should such repairs (e.g., component failures or replacements identified during inspections) be billed separately, on a time-and-materials basis? All repairs should be covered under CLIN 0001
2. In the first solicitation, it included the fire alarm, sprinkler system and suppression system and the first quote was based on that information. However, this new solicitation does not include the fire alarm report, it only has the sprinkler and fire suppression report. Is this correct? The only services will be on the sprinkler and fire suppression system and NOT the fire alarm system? If so, there is a huge difference in price .
It is expected that Fire alarm will be maintained under this contract.
