About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation 75H70726Q00072 concerning exterior door replacement services at the Albuquerque Indian Health Center. The Q&A addresses five key inquiries from prospective offerors regarding project specifications and requirements.
The document clarifies that tile and mastic adjacent to the door do not contain asbestos, though exterior wall stucco does. Replacement doors must match existing doors in size, configuration, and function to the maximum extent practicable, including existing vision lights, and be compatible with the existing opening, frame, and hardware. An ADA-compliant automatic door operator and activation button are required, with the contractor responsible for furnishing and installing all necessary components for a complete, fully functional system. The Government has not identified a preferred door or operator manufacturer, allowing offerors to propose any commercial door assembly and automatic operator system meeting solicitation requirements and compatible with existing conditions. The Government will provide available asbestos and lead survey reports to prospective offerors for informational purposes only; offerors are responsible for reviewing this information and incorporating solicitation requirements into their quotations. If suspect hazardous materials not identified in available reports are encountered during performance, the contractor must immediately notify the Contracting Officer's Representative and suspend work pending Government direction.
