RFI # RFI Response 1 The building drawings provided with the scope of work are grainy and difficult to read. Is a clearer set of drawings available?
Unfortunately we do not. These are the original drawings and are provided for additional info but, do NOT reflect the existing conditions.
2 Will the existing concrete structure underneath the two existing dry coolers be removed as a part of this contract?
No. The existing concrete will remain.
3 Are the existing condenser pumps to be replaced or reused as a part of this project?
Include replacing the existing pumps.
4 TO clarify the design portion of this project. We need to provide specifications and drawings for the mechanical demo and new system, correct? And we only need to have an engineer provide a report for the structural and electrical needed for this project (no drawings or specs for structural or electrical).
Yes. The mechanical portion would be a full design (drawings and specs).
The electrical need only a review of where to draw the power from (panel and wire/circuit/conduit sizing) in a review document. The structural need only a review of the existing red iron structure on the roof that support the previous dry coolers 11 years ago. The structural review would be based on the mechanical engineer’s dry cooler selection and the capacity of the existing structure to safety support the new dry coolers.
5 Please clarify if the commissioning agent need to be a 3rd party? Yes. The commissioning agent shall be an independent 3rd party contractor.
6 Will there be an NTP issued to start the design and one NTP for construction once design is completed? Or is the total design and construction POP 230?
Only one NTP for 230 consecutive days.
