About this file
This is a Government Property Report template used for tracking and accounting for government property provided to contractors during contract performance on Coast Guard vessels (cutters).
The form requires contractors to document all government property received, including name, description, National Stock Number (NSN), and serial number in Column 1, with corresponding property value in Column 2. Contractors must record the date property was received (Column 3) and the date it was installed or consumed (Column 4). Column 5 requires contractors to document the current location of property in their possession for use during vessel availability or note that property is temporarily held pending return to or reinstallation on the cutter. Column 6 mandates disposition instructions for unused, serviceable, salvage, or scrap property, with the date disposition was carried out. The form includes definitions distinguishing serviceable property (pre-existing property replaced during performance and turned in for future use), salvage (property with no serviceable value but exceeding scrap value), and scrap (property with value only as basic material content). Both the Government Property Administrator (Section 7) and the Contractor (Section 8) must sign and date the report certifying that all property has been accounted for through consumption or proper disposition instructions. The completed report must accompany the contractor's final invoice.
