The purpose of this amendment is to:

1. Is to answer Request for Clarifications 17‐29 as below:

Question 17: The government has released the work specifications with a REVISIONS page that shows the government change some aspect of the specifications four times. None of the work specification pages indicate that they have been changed. All pages of the specification indicate REV 0. Please correct the revision of the document to reflect any changes that the government has made.

Government Answer:

The REVISIONS page located in the REV 0 specification package reflects edits made to the REV 0 specification package. There are no REV 1 or subsequent specification packages. Only the edited REV 0.

Question 18: Work item as written does not identify the location of the grease trap.

Where is the grease trap located?

Government Answer:

The Grease trap is located underneath the sink in the galley and will be identified by the Coast Guard Inspector.

Question 19: Work item identifies Sewage pumps as Scot Pumps. Publication (TP)6328 is for Paco NCVU pumps. Please provide the technical manual for Scot Pump Model #NSWV 175‐2.

Government Answer:

The provided Technical Publication referenced is not applicable, it was an error to reference it. After exhaustive search it was found USCG does not hold a Technical Publication for subject pumps. The pump information provided, including serial number, is the only information the USCG holds. In lieu of disassembly, overhaul, and reassembly per the guidance of a Technical Publication (not available) Contractor shall follow OEM instructions and good marine practices.

Question 20: Reference drawings identified in work item do not have 1 ‐ 1/4 inch globe valves. Please provide the drawing/s which show the globe valves to be replaced with new.

The existing doors are not constructed in the manner/materials identified in the referenced drawing. Doors manufactured to the original builder drawing (wood/pressure treated wood/plywood/nails/etc) are expected to be long lead time items, if a manufacturer can be found, and provide considerably less wear ability than doors typically provided from present day door manufacturers.

Vessel crew indicated that doors were being provided as Government Furnished Material.

Are the new doors being provided as Government Furnished Material?

If not, will the government provide sufficient information such as door manufacturer/model numbers/fire rating/drawings to allow for door manufacturing?
