USCG Reliance Class Alarm and Announcing System SOVT
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) is to demonstrate the satisfactory installation and operation of the Alarm and Announcing System (A&AS) . Selected tests will demonstrate operation utilizing ship’s equipment under normal in-port operational conditions. This document contains the test procedures for the system that was installed.
Training will be provided to the ship’s force on operation and maintenance of the system by the SOVT team.
Upon completion of this procedure a copy of the completed SOVT will be given to the ship at the out-brief. This procedure can be utilized in the future as a baseline of the installed system’s initial performance.
