About this file

This report of shipment details the data requirements for reporting individual hazardous material shipments within the continental United States, from the continental United States to overseas locations, and from all overseas locations. It requires the shipping activity to provide the shipment date, estimated time of arrival, required delivery date, carrier, bill of lading or manifest number, transportation control number, container seal number, total weight and dimensions of contents, security risk category, hazard classification, and contact information for the person providing the report. The report must include this data for each shipment unit if the conveyance contains multiple units and must be submitted separately for each mode of transport to the port of embarkation. It serves as the standard template for reporting hazardous material shipments covered by this process.

This federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Hill Air Force Base to replenish critical safety items for the B-1B weapon system. The sole-source manufacturer, United Propulsion Co., Ltd., will provide 36 B-1B escape handles, 48 additional handles, and 16 handles. The items are identified by national stock numbers, part numbers, and Department of Defense identification codes.
