About this file

This document details the Minimum Insurance Coverage Requirements for the Richardson Independent School District (RISD), outlining comprehensive insurance specifications for vendors and contractors working on district projects. The requirements mandate specific insurance coverage types and limits, including Comprehensive General Liability Insurance with $1,000,000 per occurrence, Medical Expense Limit of $5,000, Personal and Advertising Injury Limit of $1,000,000, and a General Aggregate Limit of $1,000,000. Additional coverage requirements include Automobile Liability Insurance with a $1,000,000 Combined Single Limit and Workers Compensation Insurance at Statutory Limits.

The document specifies that vendors must ensure insurance coverage for the entire project duration, with the school district named as an additional insured on all coverage except workers compensation. Vendors must provide a certificate of insurance and are responsible for either requiring sub-contractors to maintain similar insurance coverage or insuring sub-contractors' activities under their own policy. The requirements also mandate that vendors comply with Texas Labor Code provisions, post notices at project sites about worker's compensation coverage, and submit proper reporting of classification codes and payroll amounts. Vendors must maintain continuous coverage and file new certificates if the current coverage period expires during the project.
