About this file
This document is a Code of Conduct for vendors and their employees working in Richardson Independent School District (RISD) schools and project sites. The code establishes comprehensive behavioral and professional standards for all vendor personnel, with strict guidelines designed to ensure student safety and maintain a professional working environment. The document outlines 15 specific rules and responsibilities that vendors must follow, including requirements for site check-in, wearing picture ID badges, prohibited behaviors, dress code, and background check requirements.
Key provisions include prohibitions on tobacco and drug use, interactions with students, use of profanity, inappropriate conduct, and strict limitations on personnel with criminal backgrounds. The code mandates that no vendor employee with pending charges or convictions related to offenses against children, sex offenses, violent crimes, or felony property crimes shall work on RISD property where students are present. Vendors are responsible for ensuring their employees' compliance, and failure to adhere to these rules may result in removal from the site or termination of the subcontractor's contract. The document emphasizes RISD's sole discretion in determining acceptable behavior and maintaining a safe educational environment.
