About this file
This document outlines a federal contract opportunity for stewardship services on the Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon. The contract involves performing essential maintenance of roads impacted by recent fires, mitigating roadside fuel accumulations, preparing sites for reforestation, and conducting erosion control and slash treatment along suppression lines. Two awards may be made, one for work on the White River Fire and one for suppression repair on the Bull Complex Fire, with a preference given to proposals that utilize air curtain burning to dispose of slash on the Bull Complex. The estimated timber volume is 9,818 CCF of various conifer species. The performance period ends on October 31, 2024. A pre-bid site visit will be held on August 17, 2022. The request for quotes is expected to issue on August 12, 2022 and will use a best value evaluation for awarding a firm fixed price commercial services contract.
